Matt Hall is an industry veteran with over 18 years experience launching global brands, promotional campaigns and developing experience productions.
Mr. Hall is currently a freelance Director/Creative Director/Art Director. Prior to freelance Hall held the position of Creative Director at Bigsmack.
While at Bigsmack Hall developed promotional and branding campaigns for clients such as; National Geographic, A&E, and Discovery.
Prior to joining Bigsmack Hall worked steadily as freelance Creative Director/Designer for clients ranging from NBC Sports, where he developed logos for their Epic Cycle, College Hockey and College Football franchises; and Discovery Networks where he worked on promos for their Animal Planet, TLC, and Discovery channels; and Modius Operandi where he helped develop game promotions for titles such as Far Cry 3, Fifa 13, and Fifa Online: and he contributed to experiential production at Klip Collective for clients including Nike, The Financial Times and New Balance.
Before that he worked at Concrete Pictures as a Creative Director, where Hall worked with Comcast developing multiple On Demand brands. He has also written, designed and directed promos for The Military Channel, HGTV, The Science Channel, TLC, Discovery and PBS. Hall also recently completed a music video for Moby and contributes experimental animation to the MOOV Lab.
Before joining Concrete Pictures, Matt Hall was the principle at Matt Hall Design, where he worked behind the scenes on Disney”s Jetix, and for clients like TNT, Electronic Arts, and Concrete Pictures. Before that Matt was with Jeff Boortz at 3 Ring Circus.
While Creative Director for the award-winning entertainment branding company 3 Ring Circus, Matthew Hall developed an unsurpassed approach to marrying style with technique in his creative solutions for an impressive broadcast client base. After joining the company as a designer in 1996, Hall implemented design strategies for television and emerging media companies such as The Health Network, TiVo, DES, Telemundo, The Learning Channel, MGM Brazil, Studio Universal, Columbia TriStar, DirecTV, TNT Latin America & Dreamworks. As the "High Diver" for the circus, Hall developed a depth and precision in working with the many facets of bringing network packages to the screen. This talent has led him to live-action directing, as well as graphic design, for clients including A&E, The Kermit Channel in Asia, Once TV in Mexico and Astral Television Networks in Canada. A circus highlight, Hall completed animated sequences in Steven Speilberg”s futuristic movie The Minority Report.
Prior to joining 3 Ring Circus, Hall was a broadcast designer with Boston-based Hatmaker. There he worked with clients such as Warner Bros. Intl. Television, TV Land, The Cartoon Network, Lifetime Television, and Noggin. Before that he began honing his craft for 3-dimensional design and construction at the exhibit design firm, Jeff Kennedy.
In 1999, Hall was nominated for a PROMAX Rocket award for his outstandingwork, which serves to bridge the gap of creative communication for his clients in the Latin America region. He has also received multiple awards from the Broadcast Design Association, Promax, the New York Film Festival, and the Telly Awards.
Born in Vermont, Hall received his bachelor's degree in graphic design from the Massachusetts College of Art, and had attended Otis/Parson and Art Center in Los Angeles.
